Share on FacebookWe welcomed our very first guest who booked a farm visit straight through our website — proof that our doors are open to anyone curious about how Black Soldier Flies turn everyday waste into something valuable.
There's a first time for everything — and this one made us especially proud. On 27 June, we hosted our very first visitor who found us online and booked a farm tour directly through our website. It's exactly what we hoped would happen when we opened up registration: someone curious, reaching out, and simply coming to see what we do.
We gave our guest the full experience — a walk through the complete Black Soldier Fly rearing cycle, from eggs and tiny larvae all the way to harvest. Along the way we shared how our farm quietly transforms agricultural and food waste into high-value protein and nutrient-rich organic fertiliser, closing the loop on waste that would otherwise go nowhere.
What we love most about visits like this is the conversation. Seeing the process up close tends to spark all kinds of questions — about the science, the sustainability, and the surprising potential of these humble insects. It's a reminder that BSF farming is easiest to appreciate in person, with your own eyes.
If you've ever been curious about what happens here, this is your invitation: come and see it for yourself. Whether you're a farmer, a student, a business, or simply someone who cares about a greener future, our doors are open. Head to our website, register for a visit, and we'll be glad to show you around — just like we did for our very first online guest.
