It was an honour to welcome a delegation from the Sabah Land Development Board (SLDB) to our Black Soldier Fly farm for a productive discussion on future collaboration in sustainable waste management.
Our guests
We were delighted to host:
- Sulaiman Sainuddin — Regional Manager, West Region
- Edy Bin Hannias — Estate Manager, Belinin KAVSB
- Marius Molisin — Estate Manager, Bingkor, SLDB
- Waktu Lemon — Estate Manager, Nabawan SLDB

- Awang Rajik Bulat — OIC, Dalit / Inandung
During the visit, we shared how our Black Soldier Fly operation converts organic and household waste into high-value larvae and organic fertiliser. A key focus of the discussion was the estates' potential to supply household waste from around 500 units across their operations — a steady organic stream that could be responsibly repurposed rather than sent to landfill.
Together, we explored the framework for a future partnership on waste management, with both sides keen to formalise the collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in the days ahead.
A big thank you to the SLDB delegation for making the trip and for the open, forward-looking conversation. We look forward to the next steps of working together toward a more circular and sustainable future for Sabah.
