Expired Food Collection from 99 Speedmart KKIP

On Wednesday, 9 September 2026, our team visited 99 Speedmart KKIP (Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park) to collect food products that had passed their expiry date.

Cartons of coffee mix, milk powder, biscuits and other dry goods were loaded onto our pickup with the help of the 99 Speedmart team and brought back to the farm. There the food is sorted, stripped of packaging and fed to our Black Soldier Fly larvae, which turn it into protein-rich larvae for animal feed and nutrient-rich frass for the soil.

Every collection like this keeps edible waste out of landfill and puts it back to productive use. We thank 99 Speedmart KKIP for their continued support of our recycling efforts.
