Hermetia Illucens Sdn. Bhd. was delighted to welcome students and teachers from SJK (C) Yuh Min (Tambunan) to our Black Soldier Fly (BSF) processing site in Ansip, Keningau.

This educational visit was organised to educate students and broaden their knowledge of organic waste management and environmental conservation. It provided an opportunity for students to learn more about the role of Black Soldier Fly (BSF) in helping to reduce organic waste by transforming it into valuable and useful resources.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to observe the handling and processing of BSF and learn how the resulting products can be used as organic fertiliser to improve soil fertility and as a protein source for animal feed. This exposure introduced them to how innovative approaches and technology can support recycling practices and encourage more responsible use of natural resources.

We believe that hands-on learning experiences like this are valuable in strengthening students’ understanding while fostering environmental awareness from a young age. By learning about practical solutions to organic waste management, students can better appreciate the importance of reducing waste, conserving resources, and protecting the environment.

We hope this visit was a meaningful learning experience that inspired the students to continue exploring new knowledge, appreciate the environment, and contribute towards a greener and more sustainable future.

Our sincere appreciation and thanks to SJK (C) Yuh Min (Tambunan) for visiting the Ansip BSF site. We hope this knowledge-sharing experience has provided valuable insights and lasting memories for everyone involved.
