Share on FacebookOur team collected 994 cartons of expired bread and croissants from Harrisons Sabah Sdn. Bhd. and brought them to our BSF facility to feed our larvae.
On 22 October 2026, our team visited the Harrisons Sabah Sdn. Bhd. warehouse in Kota Kinabalu to collect expired food products.
A total of 994 cartons of bakery products, mostly bread and croissants, were collected.
The cartons were transported to our BSF facility, where the bread is sorted and prepared as feed for our Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae. The larvae turn it into protein-rich insect biomass for animal feed and nutrient-rich frass for soil enrichment, so food that would otherwise go to disposal goes back into the food chain.
Thank you to Harrisons Sabah Sdn. Bhd. for working with us on turning food waste into useful resources.
